Kim M. Atwater CPA

Kim has been a practicing CPA since 1980. He’s a true native of the area, having grown up in Bremerton, where he attended West Bremerton High School. He now lives in Port Orchard with his wife, Marilyn. When Kim isn’t busy with work, he enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and staying involved at his church, where he serves as deacon. Kim competes in Senior Basketball tournaments around the country and serves as treasurer of Westsound Youth Basketball Association, a basketball skill development program in Kitsap County.

Debbie Corrington CPA, PFS

Debbie received her training in taxes as an IRS business tax auditor but decided to move into the public accounting world to help business owners instead of audit them. This proved to be a rewarding move for her as she has been able to build meaningful relationships with her clients and team members. She has now worked in the public accounting and financial planning industry for thirty years and has spent the majority of those years at Southard Beckham. She was born and raised in Missouri and attended college in Iowa, where she met her husband of 32 years, Scott. They moved to Gig Harbor, Washington to make their home after graduating in 1987. Together they love traveling, camping, and enjoy exploring new places. Debbie and Scott have one son, Jake, who graduated with an Architecture degree from University of Washington and is currently “living the life” working at a downtown Seattle architecture firm.

Todd was born in California but relocated to Kitsap County with his family as a teen. During high school and college, Todd was a competitive swimmer—a passion that continues to this day. His college swim teams of 1984 and 1986 have been inducted into the Central Washington University Hall of Fame. He now lives in Port Orchard with his wife, Susan. Together, they’ve raised two boys, and now have three gorgeous grandchildren. During his free time, Todd enjoys all things outdoors, including golf, swimming, camping, biking, and hiking. He’s even hiked all the way up Yosemite’s Half Dome, as well as Zion’s Angel’s Landing.

Derek has been a practicing CPA since 2012. Originally from Southern Oregon, Derek grew up in Port Orchard, Washington and graduated from South Kitsap High School. He lives in Maricopa Arizona with his wife, Monica, and works remotely on a part time basis.

Brad was raised in the Bremerton area and started working at his father’s service station, Buskirk’s Texaco, when he was eight years old. Prior to becoming an accountant, he was a small business owner in Manette, Washington. Brad transitioned to a career as a public accountant in 1991, eventually opening his own Silverdale public accounting firm, Tucker & Buskirk. The firm merged with Southard Beckham in August of 2007. Brad became a shareholder in 2008 and sold his share of the firm at the end of 2019. He now lives in Silverdale with his wife Roxanne, with whom he has five children and seven grandchildren. Brad volunteers with Royal Family Kids and Teen Reach Adventure Camp—organizations that mentor foster children in Kitsap County.

Before joining Southard Beckham, she worked for public accounting firms in New London and Glastonbury, Connecticut. She’s an avid runner and triathlete and completed her first Ironman in November 2019. Nicole and her husband Andrew have two children.
